Xmas mix-mash

There’s no denying the impact Christmas has had on western culture and how through clever marketing it has become the economic, social and cultural highlight of the year. Yet aside from the usual xmas re-launches of old hits by acts like the Pogues and Slade, there’s a stocking full of unusual and frankly disturbing festive themed music out there.

Whether it be Destiny’s Child’s fashionable Santa outfits and spin on the “Twelve Days of Christmas”, the humorous depiction of the Terminator attempting to ruin Jesus’ ministry or the Spice Girls producing an excellent remix of the classic “Christmas Wrapping”, the fun factor is cranked up to its fullest extent this time of year.

Look below for some of the best parodies, animations, remixes and live performances celebrating this special holiday.

  1. Great selection of videos! Especially loving the Skeletor one – need to check out some of those classic 80s cartoons again, they don’t make ’em like that anymore!
